2007 Season Tour

Youth Chorale has an exciting tour to the UK planned for summer 2007. The plan is to arrive in London, then compete at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfodd in Wales then visit Scotland and from thence return to the USA. We have been informed that Youth Chorale's application to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod has been accepted and based on the quality of their application have been invited directly to the final round on the Pavilion stage. The tour will be from July 7 - 15, 2007.

2006 Season Tours

Youth Chorale - Niagara International Music Festival, July 5-9

Iowa Youth Chorus' Youth Chorale participated in the 12th annual Niagara International Music Festival to be held in the Niagara region, Canada, July 5-9, 2006.

This festival involved choirs, bands and orchestras from the U.S. and Canada as well as abroad. Participants performed as a mass choir under the direction of guest conductor Francisco Nuñez, artistic director of the Young People's Chorus of New York City. Youth Chorale also presented concerts in the Niagara region as well as en route to the festival.

Chorale - Exchange with Allegro Children's Chorus, Kansas City,  

                 June 10-12, 2006

Chorale traveled to the Kansas City area for a choral exchange with the Allegro Children's Chorus of Overland Park, Kansas.  The two choirs hosted a joint concert as well as participating in recreational activities together.  Chorale sang for the opening session of the Choral Music Experience workshop, a master class for conductors and teachers from throughout the U.S.
