The Ankeny Academy of Music offers music classes and instrumental and voice lessons for all ages, early childhood to adult. We offer many special programs including the Iowa Youth Chorus, Musicianship Classes, Pre-Piano Classes, Language Delay Classes, At-Risk Youth and free Lifelong Learning Classes.


The Metro Arts Alliance strives to connect the community to the local arts through programming, communication and support of artists and arts organizations.


The Iowa Choral Directors Association sponsors the annual Opus Honor Choir . Four choirs of over 100 voices are featured at the annual event. ICDA, Inc. offers a Fifth/Sixth Grade Select Honor Choir, a Seventh/Eighth Grade select Boys Honor Choir, a Seventh/Eighth Grade Select Girls Honor Choir, and a Ninth Grade Select Mixed Honor Choir.


Temple For Performing Arts - Marked as one of the "most endangered" historic buildings by the National Historical Register, The Temple was given new life with renovations completed in 2002.
